On our way to Austria… Km 8.

We just left for our 1000km drive to Salzburg, Austria. Bright and early to avoid most of the traffic insanity here. Runrises and sunsets are spectaculair here because there’s no mountains to block the sun. Driving passed the airport at dawn, you can see all the planes clearly. We counted over 25, the sky had so many lines, it looked like a hockey rink after s period of hockey.
Nothing, nothing, beats sitting on a terrace on a sunny, drinking white beer at a canel in Amsterdam. Me and Sheri rented bikes today and we have been biking all over town. It is the best way to see Amsterdam. The old city isn’t very big so within a couple of hours you can see everything. Make sure you find a nice spot somewhere in the jordaan, the best place for a beer, outside of the tourist traps.

The location of my mom’s house is awesome. Right at a canal and with the nice weather we have and me running around visiting people, sheri is using it to the fullest.
Paying to use a bathroom

Having lived outside of the Netherlands for 10 years makes me forget things. Paying to use a public bathroom seems outrageous to me now.

We’ve arrived in Holland and the first thing we do go and get a kaassouflee; deep fried cheese!
Sunny day in London

Its a beautiful sunny day in London. We got off to an early start and have been walking all over the place, checking out the sights. I love this city. You can feel the history everywhere. We stopped by our office to say hi and we’re now having some lunch outside at a small sandwich shop near covent garden. This is our only full day in London and it looks like we picked the right day.
